Key Responsibilities
Support programs in assessing supplier data from energetic suppliers
Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions to suppliers
Assess materials based on conformance to specifications
Conduct hands-on testing of materials using laboratory techniques
Conduct standard chemical analysis laboratory testing
Method and test plan development
Lead characterization and design projects
Follow standard protocols and utilize databases
Engage with subject matter experts and management
Document and communicate results and findings
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or 12+ years of experience in absence of a degree
Experience in using propellant mixers and standard laboratory equipment
Experience in Instrumental Analysis techniques (FTIR, UV-Vis, DSC, DMA, TMA, TGA, Rheology, GCMS, NMR, ICP-OES, HPLC, GPC, SEM, EDS)
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
