Job Description

Join Quill, part of the Staples family, as a Sales Account Manager where you'll drive sales for a significant account portfolio. This role involves acquiring new business, developing strategic growth plans, and leveraging your sales expertise to enhance customer relationships. You’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for sales results for an assigned book of accounts (~$8-10M+)
  • Acquire new business and grow sales while managing the current customer base
  • Map accounts and identify core and specialty category opportunities
  • Create and maintain a solid understanding of accounts and build strategic growth plans
  • Utilize enablement tools and Salesforce to manage customer data and sales pipeline
  • Execute sales strategies through phone, social selling, email/digital, and on-site visits
  • Leverage sales methodologies to retain and grow the customer base

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years sales experience in Account Management and/or Business Development
  • Availability to travel (up to 4x per year)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience working with large complex accounts
  • Sales quota responsibility with a track record of exceeding quota
  • Experience managing complex deals from start to finish
  • Experience with business-to-business sales process
  • Account retention and growth responsibility
