Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on trailing equipment
Inspect and perform work on various parts of trailers
Repair or rebuild equipment systems
Abide by DOT, EPA, OSHA and other regulations
Maintain proficiency in equipment and technologies
Move trailers and operate a hostler in various weather
Enter job times and parts on repair orders
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area
Interact with operations and shop management
Required Qualifications
1 year of verifiable experience in heavy-duty maintenance or entry-level Technician role
A valid driver's license
Ability to perform safety inspections of equipment
Basic computer skills
Brake inspection qualified
Vehicle Inspection qualified
Basic hand tools for heavy-duty trailer maintenance
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent work-related or military experience
Prior mechanical experience (automotive or skilled trades)
Diesel tech school diploma
Previous or current ASE certifications
Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG and ARC)
