HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in New York, New York.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical (Contract)
Facility: Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital
Location: 1111 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025
Unit: 6W Medicine Unit (29 beds, avg. census: 22)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts, every other weekend required)
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Certifications
- Licensure: Active NYS RN License (required).
- Education: BSN preferred (BSN mandatory for submission); ASN considered only with active BSN enrollment + experience.
- Experience:- Minimum 2 years of inpatient Med/Surg experience (required).
- 1 year travel experience (required for travelers; waived for per diem).
- Certifications: BLS (required).
- Skills:- EPIC EHR proficiency (highly preferred).
- Charge nurse experience (preferred).
Patient Care & Responsibilities
- Patient Ratio: 1:6.
- Key Duties:- Deliver patient-centered care using Relationship Centered Care model.
- Conduct assessments, care planning, and discharge coordination.
- Administer medications, monitor vitals, and manage post-op recovery.
- Perform Purposeful Hourly Rounding (addressing Pain, Position, Potty, Possessions).
- Escalate safety/quality concerns via chain of command.
- Floating: Not specified, but flexibility expected.
Unit & Facility Details
- Staffing: 3x12-hour shifts, every other weekend.
- Schedule Notes:- No RTO in August (priority given to travelers with immediate availability).
- Orientation: Starts 08/04/2025 (mandatory).

No locals within 50 miles (strictly enforced).
