Job Description

As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, offering encouragement during both joyful and challenging times. Your role includes conducting worship services, performing religious rites, and overseeing educational programs in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services in various settings
  • Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
  • Counsel individuals seeking guidance
  • Oversee religious education programs
  • Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and families
  • Train lay leaders for religious education programs
  • Promote attendance at religious services, retreats, and conferences
  • Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
  • Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
