Job Description
As an Imaging Representative at Houston Methodist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience by managing administrative tasks, scheduling, and ensuring that all necessary physician orders and insurance authorizations are in place. Your strong communication skills and customer service focus will be key in supporting the healthcare team and ensuring patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient check in/check out functions
Schedule appointments and obtain accurate registration data
Respond to patient record requests
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment
Act as a liaison for patients, medical staff, and visitors
Confirm insurance authorization
Communicate effectively with the patient care team
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent education
One year of experience in a strong customer service environment
Demonstrates skills and competencies necessary to perform the assigned job
Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English
Strong customer service, phone and scheduling skills
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of basic medical terminology
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a healthcare related work environment
