Job Description

The Ergonomics Program Manager at Stanford Children's Hospital is responsible for managing ergonomic and safe patient handling programs, providing expert consultations, and conducting assessments to enhance workplace safety and health. This role involves training staff, overseeing budgets, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to reduce risks and improve human performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee ergonomic contractors and associated projects
  • Develop and implement ergonomics and safe patient handling initiatives
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments in various work settings
  • Provide Safe Patient Handling training to clinical staff
  • Develop and manage ergonomic program budgets
  • Act as subject matter expert for ergonomic and safe patient handling regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Five years of progressive responsibility in safety, ergonomics, and/or safe patient handling

Preferred Qualifications

  • AEP, CPE, ASP, CSP or similar certification
  • Experience with various ergonomic assessment software
