Key Responsibilities
Enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations
Facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel
Conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances
Determining admissibility of individuals for entry into the U.S.
Preventing illegal entry of individuals and smuggling of contraband
Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship
Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years
Must be referred before your 40th birthday (some exceptions apply)
Minimum of one year of specialized law enforcement experience or equivalent education
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution
Experience in enforcing laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping
Spanish language skills (for certain locations)
