This position is a local contract Registered Nurse (RN) role in the Emergency Department (ED) specializing in high-acuity patient care such as stroke, sepsis, and STEMI cases. The role requires at least 18 months of recent ED nursing experience, providing care during 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced environment treating up to 220 patients daily. Registered Nurses are responsible for rapid patient assessment, prioritization, and effective communication to manage a variety of emergency medical and trauma cases.

Schedule Notes:
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Every Other Weekend Required. Holidays- As Needed. No on Call. 13 Week assignment. LIMITED RTO. 2+ Years of ED Experience. Strong experience with Stroke, Sepsis, STEMI patients required. This is a FAST-PACED, high patient acuity Emergency Department. Emergency Department can reach up to 220 Patient Volume ED/per day. Can see up to 20 stroke patients/per shift. Float Requirements- float within department- ED Adult, Peds, IMC

Job Summary:
Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs must be ready to care for patients when they need us most.
-In addition to providing specialized and innovative services, we need our ED RNs to be equipped to handle an array of emergency situations for patients of all ages.
-Our Emergency Department (ED) nurses are trained in dealing with a variety of trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions.
-Ideal prospective ED RNs must be able to quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions and be able to prioritize their injuries and medical needs accordingly.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Required Skills & Experience:
-Must have minimum 18 months of Nursing experience working in an ED environment.
-Must have ED experience within the past six months.
-Demonstrated level of performance and practice is required.
-Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
-Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
-Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
