Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with available schedules: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, or 1:00 PM - 1:00 AM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4-week period
• Holiday coverage based on unit needs
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Must have minimum 2 years of ER experience
• Must have 1 year of Trauma Level 1 experience (will consider 8 months+)
• Must have recent Cerner EMR experience - include dates on resume
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and ATCN
• Must pass DYS exam prior to accepting position (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass day 1 orientation exam
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and port-a-cath insertion (pass/fail)
• Float between 4 facilities: main hospital, Westgate campus, and 2 free-standing ERs (approximately 30 minutes apart)
• May be floated mid-shift and must have own vehicle
• 2-3 shifts of floor-specific orientation
• Navy scrubs required
• Must have natural hair color, no facial piercings, men must be clean shaven for fit testing
• Work with Phillips monitors and must be able to read telemetry strips
• Handle trauma cases, chest pain patients, and various emergency conditions
• No first-time travelers accepted

The organization maintains 24/7 pharmacy and respiratory therapy services, with pharmacists available in the ER for 10 hours daily. The facility is equipped with modern technology including Cerner EMR systems and Phillips monitoring equipment, and maintains specialized certifications including chest pain center and spinal cord injury designations.
