Join Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates as a Clinical Medical Assistant, where you'll play a key role in patient care by assisting in various medical procedures, managing patient intake, and ensuring compliance with health standards. Key Responsibilities
Escort patients to and from the exam room
Clean and straighten exam room between patients
Prepare syringes and administer injections
Assist provider with injectable procedures
Prepare pathology and lab specimens
Respond to patient questions in office and via phone
Schedule or re-schedule appointments
Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards
Maintain medication samples and discard out-of-date supplies
Train other employees on medical assistant duties
Assist with check-in or check-out procedures
Perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
At least one (1) year of medical assisting experience
Completion of a Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant program
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Professionalism and strong customer service skills
Clear communication with doctors and patients
Ability to lift at least 15 pounds
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
