Job Description
As a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, you will create and oversee behavior management programs for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering collaboration among interdisciplinary teams. This role involves regular travel to various locations and requires strong assessment and planning skills.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Behavior Management Programs
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and maintain documentation
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in clinical or treatment field related to psychology, social work, or applied psychology
Training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
Preferred Qualifications
National board certification in Behavior Analyst (BACB)
NYS license as a Behavior Analyst (LBA)
NYS license in mental health counseling
