Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teacher Aide in SPED, where you will support students with specialized needs, contribute to classroom management, and foster a positive learning environment. This role is perfect for those eager to make a meaningful impact while growing their skills in special education.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive learning environment
Work closely with teachers, parents, and staff for consistent support
Support with personal care or hygiene as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behavior Technician Experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid
CPI or Pro Act Training
