Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Requirements - Experience: Minimum 2 years (Cath Lab experience required; EP, Neuro, Trauma, and IR experience preferred)
- License to Submit: Yes
- Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
Shift & Call Details - Shift Length: 10 hours (variable starts between 6:00–6:30 AM depending on case load)
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling allowed; union facility (seniority considered)
- Weekend/Call Requirements:
- 12–14 call shifts per 4-week schedule (including weekends)
- Every other weekend call (Fri 5p–Mon 7a)
- Holiday call required based on department needs
- Call Response Time: 30 minutes (no call room)
- Flexibility: Candidates must be willing to stay beyond 10 hours for longer cases
Unit Details - Cath/EP Suites: 3 | IR Suites: 1
- Average Cases: 8–10 per day
- Cath Procedures: Left/Right heart diagnostics, interventional cases, STEMIs, pacers, balloon pump, Impella, ECMO, rotablader, shockwave
- EP Procedures: Ablations, Watchman, TAVR, diagnostics
- IR Procedures: Embolizations, complex peripheral cases, neuro interventional (aneurysms, coils, thrombectomies)
- Trauma: Peripheral embolizations and urgent interventions
- Team: Lead Tech (Cath Lab), Manager (Emily), Cath Lab Techs, Cardiologists on call 24/7
- Support Provided: Scrubs provided
Job Duties - Circulate (no scrub required)
- Administer moderate sedation
- Provide patient teaching and support pre/post-procedure
- Patient transport to/from departments
- Equipment set-up: Balloon Pump, Impella, Rotablader
- Medication administration per scope
- Collaborate with interventionalists and hospital staff
- Ensure effective communication and safe hand-offs (SBAR)

- Candidates must demonstrate adaptability and strong teamwork
- Unit requires high-level critical thinking and Cath Lab-specific skills
