Job Description
Join Raytheon's mechanical design team as a Senior Principal Engineer specializing in Low Observable technology. Engage in cutting-edge projects that enhance national security, guiding the full lifecycle of products from design to testing while collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Design and analysis of stealth technology
Proposal writing and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
Perform RCS predictions and analyze results
Document test preparation and data analysis
Work within integrated product teams
Present testing and analysis results
Provide project management and leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Ten years of engineering experience, including Low Observable (LO) technology or Radar Cross Section or Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM)
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with tests of LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact ranges
Experience in absorber material treatments/design and testing
Academic or applied experience utilizing RF testing techniques
Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
Experience with infrared signature analysis and control
Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical languages
Advanced radar system development or test experience
Presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively
