Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Round Rock, TX 78681 (Central Texas, near Austin)
• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Start Date: November 3, 2025
• End Date: February 2, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1860 - $2000
• Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), 11 operating rooms
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• EMR: Meditech electronic medical records
• Scrubs: Light blue, provided by facility

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience, including all adult open heart and open/endovascular cases
• Experience with open and endovascular AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysm) surgery
• Willingness to assist with Cath lab procedures such as TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• At least 1 year of general operating room (OR) experience
• Preferred: Experience in general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery
• Trauma and vascular surgery experience is a plus
• Strong adaptability to different surgical rooms and case types
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and clinical support skills

CVOR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Assist with a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, aortic surgeries, TAVR, TCAR, TEVAR, EVAR, and open vascular cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical techs, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Operate advanced OR equipment, including robotic and endovascular technology
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech EMR
• Demonstrate flexibility by working in multiple OR rooms and supporting various surgical specialties as needed
• Mentor and support new graduate surgical techs or RNs as required
