Georgia Nursing Job Details

• Location: Albany, Georgia (Zip: 31701)
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care – Labor & Delivery Unit
• Contract Length: 17 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 4/13/2026)
• Nursing Shifts: 12-hour day shifts (6:45am – 6:45pm)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: As needed to postpartum unit
• Orientation: 2 floor-specific shifts
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1840 - $1980

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate or above EFM
• Ability to provide clinical support in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (150-200 births per month)

L&D RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to high-risk and routine obstetric patients in a 12-bed labor unit
• Assist with antepartum care, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, cerclages, and tubal procedures
• Collaborate with neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and lactation consultants available 24/7
• Utilize OB Trace for fetal monitoring and Meditech for electronic health record charting
• Follow AWHONN staffing ratios and hospital protocols
• Float to postpartum unit as needed
• Participate in rotating holiday and weekend schedules
• Support a baby-friendly environment and assist mothers with lactation and breastfeeding needs
