Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee overall function and professional growth of the respiratory therapy department
  • Provide consultation on pulmonary disorders and respiratory therapy practice
  • Ensure quality respiratory care and routine monitoring
  • Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and employee training
  • Implement company standards of care and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain clinical schedule for safe staffing and clinical cost control
  • Coordinate Wean Team/Pulmonary Rounds and communicate with pulmonary physicians
  • Promote continuous quality improvement and staff development
  • Teach and counsel patients and families

Required Qualifications

  • Current State License
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential (RRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • ACLS within 6 months of employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Five (5) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an Acute Care setting
  • Two years supervisory experience
