Key Responsibilities
Oversee overall function and professional growth of the respiratory therapy department
Provide consultation on pulmonary disorders and respiratory therapy practice
Ensure quality respiratory care and routine monitoring
Conduct staff interviews, performance evaluations, and employee training
Implement company standards of care and ensure regulatory compliance
Maintain clinical schedule for safe staffing and clinical cost control
Coordinate Wean Team/Pulmonary Rounds and communicate with pulmonary physicians
Promote continuous quality improvement and staff development
Teach and counsel patients and families
Required Qualifications
Current State License
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential (RRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
ACLS within 6 months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy
Bachelors Degree
Five (5) years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an Acute Care setting
Two years supervisory experience
