Job Description
Join Hillcrest Hospital South as a full-time Surgical Technologist specializing in Labor and Delivery. You'll thrive in a supportive environment while using advanced technology to enhance patient care and ensure a safe delivery experience.
Key Responsibilities
Combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedure, and implementation of tools and technology to facilitate a physician/CNM performance in labor and delivery.
Set up surgical instruments and equipment and maintain sterility.
Assist with preparing patients for the operating room or delivery.
Pass instruments and other sterile supplies to surgeons and assist with holding retractors and other instruments.
Maintain inventory in all delivery and operating rooms.
Assist with clerical duties including entering patient orders, maintaining the delivery log, and daily patient census.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Certified Surgical Technology program
Must be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
Active BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
1-year of Labor and Delivery Surgical Technologist experience
