Registered Nurse - Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations in the cardiac catheterization lab.
- Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment.
- Continuously communicate with the physician about patient conditions, and as needed.
- Assist with the maintenance of equipment and inventory.
Assess procedure room and equipment functioning and readiness.
Obtain supplies for individual cases and ensure all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met.
Monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
- Continuously monitor and record the patient's condition while in the Cardiovascular lab.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Licensure: An active and unrestricted Registered Nursing (RN) License is required.
- Certifications:
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire and must be maintained.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required upon hire and must be maintained.
- Experience:
- One (1) year of clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area is required.
Additional Information
- Job Type: Long-term assignment
- Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- On-Call: No on-call duty required
Job Summary
Join a dedicated team as a Cardiac Catheterization Lab Registered Nurse. This is a long-term assignment with a full-time shift, Monday through Friday. As a key member of the Cardiac Catherization department, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
