Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Evaluating students to identify speech-language therapy needs.
Developing and implementing individualized speech therapy plans.
Setting collaborative, student-centered goals with families and educators.
Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy plans as needed.
Providing direct speech and language therapy using evidence-based strategies.
Documenting therapy sessions and clinical observations accurately.
Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date case records.
Fostering open communication with families regarding therapy schedules.
Collaborating with teachers and caregivers to support therapy goals.
Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and regional conferences.
Providing clinical support and expertise to program teams.
Mentoring educators and staff to ensure effective delivery of therapy plans.
Conducting client intakes and comprehensive clinical assessments.
Overseeing the quality of speech therapy services across multiple locations.
Maintaining clinical excellence through staff development.
Building trust and rapport with clients and families.
Engaging in continuous professional development.
Traveling regularly between assigned Spectrum School locations.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in speech pathology or a closely related field of study.
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a speech language pathology (SLP) credential.
Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver’s license.
Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in providing speech language therapy support.
Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance.
Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students.
Highly skilled in building relationships with students, parents, teachers, and community partners.
Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability.
Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology and Microsoft Office Suite.
