Key Responsibilities
Explain CT procedure to the patient and/or family member in a thorough and professional manner.
Perform CT procedures ensuring appropriate imaging parameters are utilized.
Deliver patient care in a personalized, professional manner.
Provide minimal nursing care and ensure patient comfort.
Transport patients to and from Imaging Services safely.
Perform quality control on equipment and report any malfunctions.
Maintain CT procedure rooms and work area in a clean manner.
Communicate effectively with medical and administrative staff.
Adhere to radiation safety practices.
Enter and retrieve patient information from PACS and HIS.
Support the organization in incorporating guiding principles into practice.
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and other accrediting bodies.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of required education to obtain registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Licensed by the Department of State Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
Previous employment as a CT Technologist
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for Computerized Tomography (CT)
