Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Norwich, CT
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: 11/17/2025
Shift: Days, 3 x 12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), 36 hours/week
Weekend/Holiday Requirements: As needed
On Call: None
Unit Overview:
Dual level of care unit: Telemetry + PCU
Primary Stroke Center
Unit Size: 25 beds (9 PCU)
Patient Ratios: 1:5–6 on floor side; 1:3 for PCU
Common Cases:
Chest pain, strokes, respiratory failure, sepsis
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years PCU experience
Minimum 2 years telemetry experience
Previous travel experience preferred
Charge experience preferred
EPIC experience required
Certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS
Duties:
Provide direct patient care across dual-level unit
Perform nursing assessments and interventions for PCU and telemetry patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care
Respond to acute changes in patient condition, including stroke and critical care situations
