As the Transportation Director at Sysco, you will lead and manage delivery operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and optimizing performance while maintaining high safety standards. You'll oversee daily activities, manage budgets, and drive efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Direct the daily work and safety of Delivery supervisors and routing personnel
Ensure effective management of daily delivery activities
Assure compliance with regulatory agencies
Direct labor hours, travel, fuel, and consumable supplies within budget
Prepare work schedules and oversee company asset utilization
Communicate with Sales Management and resolve customer delivery issues
Establish and update productivity and routing software systems
Monitor associate morale and engagement
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
7 years' related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting company standards
Complete a Sysco approved defensive driving program
HazMat and Doubles Certification
