Key Responsibilities
Provides one-to-one interaction with patients
Assists in educational sessions and facilitates task-oriented sessions
Assists with patient intake, admission, and discharge processes
Performs patient, body, and property searches
Participates in patient care conferences and treatment-planning meetings
Obtains vital signs and performs specimen collection
Assists patients with activities of daily living
Monitors and documents patient observations and responses
Completes court petitions and communicates court activity status
Assists professional staff with restraint and seclusion
Performs routine clerical functions
Ensures that patient care equipment is clean and in good working order
Promotes guest relations and treats others with respect
Maintains professional appearance and a clean environment
Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
One year of college study in behavioral health or equivalent combination of education and experience in an adult mental health setting
One year of related clinical experience working with mentally ill patients
Successful completion of annual recipient rights training
Physical management in-service and demonstration
Maintains active CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree in psychology, social work or a human service discipline
