IT Field Service Technician

*Rate: $24.97/hr*

*Location: Modesto, CA / Turlock, CA / Merced, CA (Offsite)*

*Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM; rotating weekend and evening/holiday on-call availability may be required, based on business needs*

*Note: This is a W2 contract position, and it is NOT open to C2C or 3rd party candidates*

The Field Service Technician will provide great customer service while installing, diagnosing, and resolving retail equipment failures within Service Level Agreements at locations in the Modesto/Turlock/Merced, CA area; equipment includes POS (Point of Sale) registers, self-checkout registers, thermal printers, laser printers, scanners, servers, PCs, thin clients, phone systems, RF devices, networking, and pharmacy, clinic, photo, and other related computer peripherals.

This Field Service Technician position involves driving a reliable, personal vehicle between locations in and around the Modesto/Turlock/Merced, CA area to service and install hardware, assisting other neighboring areas with workloads, working a normal day shift and on-call for weekday evenings. Normal shift scheduling for this position may also include Saturdays and/or Sundays as normal workdays, with weekdays as scheduled days off or rotating on call, as Managers deem necessary. Additional availability for on-call holiday coverage for onsite, high severity service calls may be required. The Field Service Technician will be reimbursed for miles driven in their personal vehicle on their weekly expense report at the standard reimbursement rate.

*Position Requirements:*
* 1-3 years of hands-on technical knowledge and experience, with strong customer service skills
* Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and deploy computer hardware and peripherals, POS systems, and networking and printer equipment, which includes lifting and moving laser printers, servers, and other heavy equipment up to 75lbs and occasionally working on a ladder
* A valid Driver’s License, with no major violations, and a reliable, personal vehicle to drive between work sites
* A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; higher education or relevant IT Certifications highly preferred

*This job requires driving your personal vehicle between work sites; a MVR background check will be conducted upon extension of a job offer*
