The OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator at Clean Harbors is responsible for safely operating tractor trailer units on long-haul routes, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and proper loading of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The role includes maintaining detailed logs, securing loads, and prioritizing health and safety at all times. Compensation is performance-based with benefits such as bi-weekly home time and paid on-duty hours, requiring Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.

Clean Harbors is looking for a OTR Class A Dry Van Owner Operator to join their safety conscious team in Syracuse, NY! This route runs from Syracuse, NY to various locations and averages 2500-2900 miles per week.

About the role:

• Average $200-250K per year
• Bi-Weekly home time
• Compensation package includes all on-duty time paid via hourly demurrage rates, non-asset hourly rates, and/or mileage pay

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
• Operates tractor trailer units
• Adheres to weights and ensures proper utilization of the units
• Ensures proper loading and unloading of hazardous waste/non-hazardous waste; Properly secures the loads
• Placards vehicle in accordance to Company and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements/regulations
• Maintains daily logs, invoicing, time sheets, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports

QUALIFICATIONS

• Class A CDL
• HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
• 12+ months of Class A driving experience
• Ability to effectively use required technology such as mobile applications and computer software
