Key Responsibilities
Serve as primary contact for the VAD Program in the Heart Institute
See patients with ventricular assist devices during implantation, inpatient care, and in clinic
Collaborate with Heart Failure/Transplant team
Participate in quality, education, guideline review/revision, and research related to the VAD program
Required Qualifications
Masters or Doctorate from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program
Florida APRN licensure and national certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
Minimum 2 years work experience with pediatric patients with ventricular assist devices
BLS and PALS certification required prior to start date
Graduation from an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant Training Program
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Florida PA license
