Job Description

Join Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital as a VAD APP Coordinator, where you'll collaborate with a dedicated team to provide expert care for pediatric patients with ventricular assist devices. Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for the VAD Program in the Heart Institute
  • See patients with ventricular assist devices during implantation, inpatient care, and in clinic
  • Collaborate with Heart Failure/Transplant team
  • Participate in quality, education, guideline review/revision, and research related to the VAD program

Required Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate from an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program
  • Florida APRN licensure and national certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
  • Minimum 2 years work experience with pediatric patients with ventricular assist devices
  • BLS and PALS certification required prior to start date
  • Graduation from an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant Training Program
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Florida PA license
