Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients prior to surgery
Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process
Assume responsibility for patient preparation, including intravenous therapy and preoperative medications
Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols
Recognize and respond to patient emergencies
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team
Assess patient condition and document changes in patient condition
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN)
Associate Degree
Registered Nurse Diploma
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date)
