Key Responsibilities
Collect medication histories for emergency department or newly admitted patients
Validate and verify medications patients are taking prior to admission
Document the medication list in the medical record
Fill and transport medication to nursing units
Mix sterile and non-sterile preparations
Required Qualifications
H.S. Diploma or GED
Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
1 year Retail pharmacy experience or medication history technician experience
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
PTCB
PTCB certificate in Medication History
1 year Inpatient hospital experience
1 year Experience with pharmacy information systems (i.e., Epic, ADM applications)
