The Position Wilson Elser is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a specialist team serving the accounting and financial services industries. Independently manage a caseload of professional liability defense and commercial disputes. Represent clients in civil defense litigation claims and regulatory matters Collaborate closely with attorneys and Partners on legal projects Handle court appearances and conduct depositions regularly Maintain client communication and provide detailed status updates Qualifications JD from an accredited law school Admitted to practice in the State of New York CPA or BA or BS degree in Accounting, preferred 2+ years of defense/commercial litigation experience (experience with accounting practices, public accounting and/or CPA firms preferred) Knowledge of electronic digital documentation and e-discovery matters, a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Caseware, Pro SystemsFX and various other accounting-based software A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law.
