Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide support and guidance to Sailors and Marines, conducting worship services, performing religious ceremonies, and offering counseling during both joyful and difficult times. This role allows you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of service members and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in a variety of settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings and funerals
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services and retreats
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a registered religious faith organization
