• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: March 2, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (6:00pm – 6:30am)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1840-$1980
• Unit Details: 35-bed Emergency Room, 2 trauma bays, 8-bed Fast Track, dedicated triage area

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Illinois preferred for local candidates)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience (travel nursing experience required)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (TNCC preferred; may be waived for highly experienced ER nurses)
• EPIC EMR charting experience required
• Ability to work every other weekend and holiday
• Strong clinical skills in trauma, cardiac, pediatric, and mental health emergencies

ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to diverse ER patient populations, including adults and pediatrics
• Perform triage using the ESI algorithm; manage patients in Fast Track, trauma bays, and psych/seclusion rooms
• Administer and monitor critical care drips, perform blood draws, EKGs, and IV insertions
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, LPNs, ER techs, and paramedics to optimize patient outcomes
• Transport critical patients to imaging and respond to codes alongside respiratory therapy
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Work within a supportive healthcare team environment with 24/7 charge nurse and in-house security during peak times
