MRI Tech - MRI Tech
Job Details:
• Work five 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
• Saturday rotation required with call rotation on weekdays and weekends
• May be required to work flexible hours, alternate shifts, weekends, and call as necessary
• Perform MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide patient instruction to minimize anxiety and gain cooperation
• Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others
• Select and operate magnetic resonance systems, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment
• Position patients and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest
• Select appropriate pulse sequences with consideration to established protocols
• Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access, and administer contrast media
• Assist physicians with interventional procedures using aseptic technique and universal precautions
• Evaluate images and data for technical quality and manipulate digital data for display
• Use radiology information systems including PACS and complete all required records and reports
• Provide basic life support when necessary and offer practical instruction to partners and students
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program required
• Experience as an MRI Technologist required
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• ARRT MRI registration required
• CPR or BLS certification required
