Key Responsibilities
Full accountability for food cost, food waste, BOH staffing and wages, HACCP, production, pars, orders, and cleanliness
Supervises and partners with the Assistant Kitchen Manager
Ensures proper staffing in all positions
Maintains Chuy's procedures and recipes for food quality and safety
Oversees and maintains pars, inventory, and orders
Ensures kitchen equipment is functional
Participates in hiring and training of new staff
Ensures cleaning standards are maintained
Creates schedules for kitchen staff
Works within a budget to maintain costs and minimize waste
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
Strong culinary knowledge
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales and labor
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual (Spanish)
Familiarity with a variety of kitchen equipment and its maintenance
Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
