Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Cedar Rapids, IA (52402)
• Unit: 5 Center – Oncology / Neuro (24 beds)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• End Date: March 9, 2026
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: Nights (occasional day shift as needed)
• Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• On Call: None
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC EMR
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg nursing experience (first-time travel nurses welcome with 2 years of experience)
• Active Iowa RN license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Proficient in administering heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone
• Experienced in caring for med/surg, neurology, and oncology patients
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Ability to float between Med/Surg and Stepdown units

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress using EPIC EMR
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including heparin, cardizem, and amiodarone
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process
• Float to Med/Surg and Stepdown units as needed to support clinical operations
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
