Key Responsibilities
Develop FPGA designs for various vendors and device families
Implement designs using VHDL for applications like DSP and control loops
Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers
Perform code development, simulation, and place and route
Verify designs against requirements using directed test and constrained random methodologies
Document and manage configurations throughout the design process
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
Experience with digital design and VHDL or Verilog coding
Familiarity with Xilinx, Altera or Microsemi/Microchip FPGAs
12 months or less of relevant professional work experience
Preferred Qualifications
ABET accreditation preferred
3.0 cumulative GPA desired
Familiarity with Linux environment and commands
Expertise in FPGA timing constraints and timing closure
Digital signal processing as applied to FPGA devices
