Key Responsibilities

  • Develop FPGA designs for various vendors and device families
  • Implement designs using VHDL for applications like DSP and control loops
  • Work with circuit card designers and systems engineers
  • Perform code development, simulation, and place and route
  • Verify designs against requirements using directed test and constrained random methodologies
  • Document and manage configurations throughout the design process

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major
  • Experience with digital design and VHDL or Verilog coding
  • Familiarity with Xilinx, Altera or Microsemi/Microchip FPGAs
  • 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • ABET accreditation preferred
  • 3.0 cumulative GPA desired
  • Familiarity with Linux environment and commands
  • Expertise in FPGA timing constraints and timing closure
  • Digital signal processing as applied to FPGA devices
