Job Description

Join University Health's Transplant Program as an Advanced Practice Provider, where you'll deliver high-quality, patient-centered care alongside a renowned team of specialists. Play a vital role in the management of transplant patients by conducting assessments, developing care plans, and educating families, all while contributing to meaningful advancements in transplant medicine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments and manage pre- and post-transplant care
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor transplant patients for complications and coordinate care transitions
  • Educate patients and families about procedures, medications, and long-term care requirements
  • Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Board certification as an NP or ACNP
  • Current licensure to practice as a PA or NP in Texas
  • National certification (e.g., NCCPA, ANCC, or AANP)
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Valid DEA license or eligibility to obtain within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in transplant or relevant acute care specialty
