As Associate Chaplain - Limited (Weekends 10 hours per day, 20 hours per week), you will:

  • The Associate Chaplain responds to requests for spiritual care in crisis and life-threatening events at the hospital and provides intervention.
  • The Associate Chaplain also responds to requests for patient care off-site.

Shift: Chaplain must work Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (10-hour shifts each day). Must also be available for On-Call work throughout the week.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:

College degree in psychology, sociology, counseling, or Theological Studies

Completion of two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, CPE

Graduate Theological Degree or equivalent (preferred)

Ecclesiastical endorsement (preferred)

Ordination as a minister in an organized faith tradition (preferred)

Board Certification with an accrediting agency such as the Association of Professional Chaplains, APC (preferred)

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Satisfactory Completion of a background check
  • Three years' experience as a chaplain in a health care, military, or hospice setting

Salary Range: Minimum $27.04/hour - Maximum $44.63/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
