Job Description

Become an Army Orthopedic Surgeon and protect the foundation of Soldiers' musculoskeletal systems. This role offers the chance to treat Soldiers and their families while utilizing advanced medical technologies and gaining invaluable experience through continuous education and research opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Treat Soldiers, retirees, and their families with injuries and conditions involving the musculoskeletal system
  • Conduct surgical and nonsurgical procedures
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment
  • Participate in continued education courses, seminars, and trainings
  • Conduct research for the development of the field

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
  • Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
  • Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education internship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates for foreign graduates
