Key Responsibilities
Provide preoperative care for Soldiers and their families
Administer anesthesia during surgical procedures
Assist in intensive care medicine and emergency medicine
Participate in humanitarian missions
Provide critical treatments requiring anesthetics
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy
Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
Completed at least one year of approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
Completed a training program in anesthesiology
U.S. citizenship for Active Duty or permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
Preferred Qualifications
Permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates for foreign graduates
