The Staff Pad is proud to partner with Blue Ridge Medical Center in Blue Ridge, Georgia, to find a dynamic and experienced Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all nursing operations and collaborating across departments to deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care in a rural hospital setting.
As the CNO, you will be a key member of the executive team, influencing clinical strategy, performance improvement, and nursing practice while supporting the organization’s mission and long-term goals.
Provide leadership and direction to all nursing service employees
Collaborate with the CEO, medical staff, and executive team to develop strategic and operational plans
Oversee planning, budgeting, staffing, and clinical operations of nursing services
Coordinate with ancillary departments to drive quality and patient satisfaction initiatives
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and professional regulations and standards
Serve as a liaison with the medical staff and participate in governance and board-level discussions
Champion patient safety, clinical quality, and evidence-based practice across the organization
Lead initiatives for staff development, clinical education, and nurse engagement
Support utilization management, performance metrics, and fiscal responsibility in nursing operations
Promote community involvement and represent nursing to local leaders and stakeholders
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
MSN required
Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience at the director level or above, ideally within a rural or community hospital
Proven experience in nursing operations, strategic planning, team development, and regulatory compliance
Strong understanding of current clinical practice, delivery models, patient safety standards, and quality improvement metrics
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with staff, physicians, executive leadership, and the community
Demonstrated success in financial stewardship and human resource management in a healthcare setting
Active membership and participation in professional nursing organizations preferred
A passion for rural healthcare and making a direct impact in the community
A collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence and inspire others
Strategic thinking, operational excellence, and sound clinical judgment
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a focus on service and outcomes
