Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles
  • Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards
  • Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience working as a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Experience working on heavy-duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
  • Ability to speak and read English well enough to converse with colleagues and make legible entries on reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hydraulics experience
  • Experience with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, Peterbilt, and Paccar
  • CDL preferred
  • 2+ years experience for a Mechanic B or A level position
  • Yellow Iron experience or experience for a refuse company
  • Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards
