Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience working as a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic
A valid driver’s license is required
Experience working on heavy-duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English well enough to converse with colleagues and make legible entries on reports
Preferred Qualifications
Hydraulics experience
Experience with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, Peterbilt, and Paccar
CDL preferred
2+ years experience for a Mechanic B or A level position
Yellow Iron experience or experience for a refuse company
Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards
