Operating Room RN Job Details

• Location: Fort Worth, Texas 76104 (Texas nursing jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Surgery Unit (17 beds including CVOR and Transplant)
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680 per week
• Call Requirements: One weekday per week and one weekend per month (weekend call is 24 hours from Friday 3 PM to Monday 7 AM)
• Employment Type: Travel nursing assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Texas RN License (no temporary licenses)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience in an acute care hospital
• Strong neurosurgery experience (85% spine, 15% brain cases)
• Robotic surgery experience preferred
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring safety and comfort during surgical procedures
• Assist with high-volume general and neuro surgeries, including craniotomies, orthopedic, robotic, urology, plastic, heart, and transplant procedures
• Collaborate with surgical techs and multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other hospital units as needed per policy
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Meditech
• Demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and strong communication skills
• Adhere to hospital dress code and appearance standards (facility-provided scrubs, no artificial nails, neat hair, covered tattoos, limited visible piercings)
