Key Responsibilities
Identify anatomical orientation on images and ensure proper file identification
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operate related equipment
Greet patients and obtain their history
Scan according to guidelines and maintain quality standards
Process paperwork for biopsies and maintain logs
Utilize sterile techniques and maintain cleanliness of examination rooms
Assist in the accreditation process for ACR
Monitor patient vital signs during examinations
Educate patients regarding procedures and ensure understanding
Contribute to efficient outpatient operations and team collaboration
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited course in ultrasonography
ARDMS certification
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography or sonography
5+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to communicate with patients, visitors, and employees
Ability to use or learn the department’s computerized system
