Job Description

Join Raytheon's mechanical design team as a Senior Principal Low Observable Design, Analysis and Test Engineer. You'll engage in cutting-edge Stealth technology projects and play a critical role in the lifecycle of Low Observable weapon systems, from conceptual design to testing and production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analysis, computational electro-magnetics (CEM), and/or test for Stealth technology
  • Proposal writing and Basis of Estimate (BOE) development
  • Perform RCS predictions and analyze limitations of Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM)
  • Prepare test documentation, data analysis, and present results to customers
  • Work within integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques
  • Document all activities related to test preparation and results
  • Occasional travel for business, training, and conferences
  • Provide project management and leadership in Integrated Product Teams (IPT)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ten (10) years of engineering experience in Low Observable (LO) technology or Radar Cross Section or Computational Electromagnetic Codes (CEM) or 7 years relevant experience with an advanced degree
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multiple tests of LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact ranges
  • Absorber material treatments / design and testing experience
  • Academic or applied experience utilizing RF testing techniques
  • Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
  • Experience with Infrared signature analysis and control
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical language
  • Advanced radar system development or test experience
  • Presentation skills and ability to communicate with peers, executives and customers
