Key Responsibilities
Design, simulate, and develop discreet RF Tx/Rx modules for radar systems
Conduct RF system-level analysis, link budget calculations, and trade-off studies
Select and integrate components such as mixers, amplifiers, oscillators, and filters
Perform schematic capture, PCB layout reviews, and work closely with layout engineers to ensure optimal high-frequency performance
Conduct laboratory testing, tuning, and validation of RF modules against specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering to ensure seamless product integration
Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for performance anomalies
Maintain comprehensive documentation for design decisions, test results, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or related field
5–8 years of experience in RF design, with a focus on radar or similar high-frequency applications (L,S,C, and X band)
Proficiency in RF simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, HFSS, CST, or similar)
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCBA layout tools (e.g. Altium Designer, PADS, Allegro)
Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters)
Solid understanding of RF/microwave circuit theory, impedance matching, noise figure, and gain optimization
Experience with PCB design for RF and microwave circuits
Familiarity with military or aerospace standards for RF systems
US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of phased-array radar architectures
Electronics packaging concepts
Familiarity with thermal and mechanical considerations in high-frequency module packaging
