Job Description
Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to enhance their speech and language functions. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and contribute to clinical education while making a meaningful impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapy techniques
Educates patients and families in home exercise programs
Determines when patients have achieved maximal benefit from treatment
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Submits charges accurately and consistently
Adheres to professional code of ethics
Supervises affiliated students
Attends continuing education courses
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows-based programs (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites
