Job Details:
• Function primarily in direct patient care with competent clinical practice
• Triage patients, obtain patient history and vital signs, and perform patient assessments
• Act independently to initiate immediate care in life-threatening situations when physician is absent
• Provide care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients
• Perform multiple nursing procedures utilizing both complex and simple skills
• Assist physicians with their procedures
• Provide physical and psychological comfort to patients, families, and visitors
• Deliver discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and families
• Answer ambulance radios and provide appropriate orders for pre-hospital care without assistance
• Work with sophisticated equipment and handle various patient types in frequently stressful environment
• Work every other weekend and holiday schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Michigan nursing license required
• All scheduling requests must be made at time of submission
