Key Responsibilities
Coordinate comprehensive care for advanced heart failure patients
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
Manage care of high-risk patient populations
Track patient data and aftercare for VAD patients
Schedule appointments and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Facilitate interactions with transplant centers
Maintain day-to-day VAD equipment management
Educate patients and staff on VAD procedures
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Nebraska Board of Nursing
Two years of experience in acute care or advanced heart failure care
Ventricular Assist Device Certification (VAD-C) required after one year of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Prior VAD experience
Active membership with International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) or other MCS related national group
